Health events normally unite across fields in nutrition, fitness and functional medicine for physical progress or unite within the mental health field across psychological and somatic methods to improve life. Rooted Health does something different. We unite fields from the roots up to the overarching canopy of the whole person. We explore one person's extraordinary story that becomes the thread connecting physical health, mental health, and meaning — and where a live community learns those lessons together.

 

Long before slide decks and exhibitor halls, people gathered to hear a life told, and made its lessons their own. It's more meaningful, and more memorable, than information alone. Our work pairs that ancient, communal way of learning with the rigour it deserves and shares its lessons through science and lived experience. We bring together experts, practitioners, and those who believe health is about more than data points — to learn, relate, and take part in conversations about what it takes to change a life.​​​​​​​​

 

Rooted Health is building on the health movement already growing across England, and have set out to strengthen it — beginning in Cambridge, a city with an inspiring foundation in health research and remarkable life stories. ​We run three kinds of events, scaling from intimate to large:

Ms Hammer & Experts — a live, interview-style event where leading voices in health are drawn into conversation, with the audience part of it.

 

An Extraordinary Life: The Science and Mysticism — our health summit. Each edition centres on one remarkable person, exploring the lessons of their life through both science and deeper human insight.
